Trafford Park Metrolink 

In order to assist the construction of the Trafford Park Mertolink line, TfGM have intoduced a number of major highway changes. From Monday 19 June, the changes introduced by TfGM will affect how the existing highways in the area operate including temporary changes in the direction of traffic.

The Trafford Pledge

Businesses can access a network of recruitment support and additional benefits by signing up to the Pledge. By signing the Trafford Pledge, local businesses are committing to offering employment support to local people.

Imperial War Muesum North

IWM North recently hosted the launch of their new world class WaterShard event spaces and upgraded HD Panasonic digital projection systems, attracting over 100 guests across 60 companies. The WaterShard is a new contemporary event space with stunning views of MediaCityUK and The Quays, equipped with integrated state-of-the-art AV and air conditioning. Access to Funding, Support and Advice

Trafford Business Loan Fund

Trafford Council is able to offer assistance to an array of businesses, with financial support ranging from £500 to as much as £500,000. The fund is available to start-up’s, established businesses hoping to expand and to exporters. This fund is available in partnership with Business Finance Solutions.

Trafford Town Centre's Business Growth Programme

Thinking of setting up your own business in Trafford or need to access some extra cash for expansion, training or marketing? Trafford Council’s new, innovative and interest free Town Centres Business Growth Programme is here to help!

Trafford Pledge Employer Grants

Through the Employer Grant scheme, businesses offering four weeks work experience, a traineeship, apprenticeship or job to a 16-25 year-old in Trafford and providing travel and lunch expenses, could receive a £500 grant. Through the scheme, there is also specific emphasis on prioritising young people who currently face significant disadvantages trying to enter the world of work, including those in care or young people with disabilities.

Free Sales, Marketing & General Business Advice

The Business Growth Hub is part of the Manchester Growth Company. The Hub was set up in 2011 and since then has helped thousands of businesses across Greater Manchester to grow, develop and reach their full potential.

Its services are open to new start-ups right through to well established companies. It offers a whole range of joined-up business services. The only criteria is that growth and job creation are a key part of the business’s agenda.

Rural Development Programme for England

The RDPE Growth Programme gives Grant funding for projects in England which create jobs and growth in the rural economy. Funding still available for rural tourism projects in Dunham Massey, Warburton, Carrington, Partington and Mersey Valley only.

LEADER is another strand of the RDPE and is available to local businesses, communities, farmers, foresters and land managers, for:

  • support micro and small businesses and farm diversification
  • boost rural tourism
  • increase farm productivity
  • increase forestry productivity
  • provide rural services
  • provide cultural and heritage activities

ESF Skills Support for the Workforce

Fully funded training now available to Greater Manchester Businesses – Skills Support for the Workforce offers free training to help eligible businesses with up to 249 members of full time and part time staff, to boost business growth by enhancing and developing skills of their existing workforce.
